1.International Women’s Day Celebration in Vumbi Commune in the province of Kirundo On March 26, 2024, the women of KALICO joined forces with women’s coffee-growing cooperatives to celebrate International Women’s Day under the national theme “Let’s walk together with women in their development by increasing production”. The festivities took place in the commune of Vumbi in the province of Kirundo, with a parade through the commune.This day is an opportunity to remind everyone that women play a very important role in the development of our society. In fact, women account for 80% of the workforce, grouped together in cooperatives. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, KALICO supports women coffee growers in their efforts to achieve economic autonomy.
